No two bespoke projects are the same, which means there is no standard price or process. Whether you have an unusual building requirement, a completely custom home improvement, a one-off installation or an idea that doesn’t fit into our usual services, Apex South West Construction can work with you to understand exactly what you’re looking to achieve.
Every bespoke project begins with a site survey and consultation. We’ll visit your property, discuss your ideas and requirements, assess the space and consider everything that may be involved in bringing your project to life. From materials and access to structural requirements, specialist work and finishing details, we’ll work through the project with you and establish a clear scope of works.
Once we have gathered all the necessary information, we’ll provide you with a detailed quotation tailored specifically to your project. We’ll also discuss the expected timeframe, availability and proposed schedule during the consultation, as these will depend entirely on the size, complexity and requirements of the work.
To secure your booking, a deposit is required, followed by a further 50% payment before works commence, with the remaining 50% payable upon completion. For larger or more complex bespoke projects, payment stages may occasionally need to be adjusted to accommodate material or project costs, but any requirements will be discussed and agreed with you before work begins. Our aim is to make even the most unusual project straightforward, transparent and professionally managed from the initial idea through to completion. Bespoke Projects
Not every project fits neatly into a standard service, and that’s where our Bespoke Projects service comes in. If you have an idea for your home or garden that requires building, fitting, installation or a little bit of creative thinking, we can work with you to turn it into reality. Whether it’s a small one-off improvement or a more involved project, we’ll work around your requirements rather than trying to fit your project into a fixed package.
Bespoke projects can include a huge range of work, such as bathroom and kitchen fit-outs, media walls, new flooring, garden bars, outdoor kitchens, bespoke islands, new staircases, feature walls, storage solutions, custom-built areas and general home improvements. We can also combine multiple elements into one project, allowing you to transform a particular room, area or part of your garden without having to organise several different contractors yourself.
The beauty of a bespoke project is that the possibilities are driven by what you want to achieve. You may have a rough idea, a design you’ve seen elsewhere or simply a problem within your home that you need a solution for. We’ll discuss your requirements, look at the space available and help establish the most practical way of achieving the finished result. Where necessary, we can coordinate different aspects of the work, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, plastering, decorating, flooring and other finishing trades.

The Process
Every bespoke project starts with a conversation about what you want to achieve. As these projects can range from a simple home improvement to a completely custom build, we don’t work from a fixed process or package. We’ll arrange a site visit to look at the space, understand your requirements and discuss your ideas in detail. If you already have drawings, inspiration images or a design in mind, we can work from these, or we can help you develop the idea from scratch.
Following the consultation, we’ll assess the practical side of the project, including measurements, access, existing structures, materials, services and any specialist work that may be required. We’ll consider how the different elements need to work together and establish the most suitable way of carrying out the work. Where a project involves multiple trades, such as plumbing, electrics, plastering, carpentry or decorating, these can be coordinated as part of the overall project.
Once everything has been discussed and the scope of works has been established, we’ll provide a tailored quotation covering the agreed work and materials. We’ll also talk through the expected timeframe and availability, as these will vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. Once you’re happy to proceed, we’ll agree the booking, payment schedule and start date before getting everything organised.
When work begins, our team will manage the project from start to finish, keeping the different stages organised and ensuring each element is completed correctly before moving on to the next. Whether we’re installing a bespoke media wall, fitting a new bathroom, building a garden bar, creating a kitchen island or carrying out a complete room transformation, we’ll take care of the practical details and finishing touches.
The final stage is completing the finishing work, checking everything has been installed and finished to the agreed specification, and leaving the area clean, tidy and ready to use. Our aim is to make bespoke projects as straightforward as possible for the customer, taking your initial idea and turning it into a finished space that is practical, individual and built around exactly what you wanted.
