Managing your project from start to finish
A building project can involve a lot of different people, materials, deliveries and stages, which can quickly become difficult to manage yourself. Our Project Management service is designed to take that pressure away, providing a single point of contact throughout the project and ensuring everything is organised, coordinated and progressing as it should.
Whether you’re planning an extension, renovation, property refurbishment, landscaping project or complete home transformation, Apex South West Construction can oversee the project from the initial consultation through to completion. We coordinate the different stages of the work, organise materials and trades, manage timelines and keep you informed throughout the build.
What does project managing actually involve?
Project management is about making sure that all the different elements of your project work together. Rather than you having to organise separate contractors, arrange deliveries and work out which trade needs to be on site next, we can manage the process for you.
Depending on the project, this can include coordinating builders, electricians, plumbers, plasterers, decorators, landscapers and other specialist trades, as well as arranging materials, equipment and deliveries. We’ll establish what needs to happen, when it needs to happen and what needs to be completed before the next stage can begin.
We’ll also keep an eye on the overall quality, progress and schedule, helping to identify potential issues before they become larger problems. The exact level of project management required will depend on the size and complexity of your project, and this will all be discussed during your initial consultation.
The Project Management Process
01 — Consultation & Planning
Every project starts with a consultation and site survey. We’ll discuss your plans, understand what you want to achieve and assess the property or working area. From there, we can establish the overall scope of works, identify the different stages involved and determine what trades, materials and equipment will be required.
02 — Organising The Project
Once everything has been agreed, we’ll start putting the project together. This includes scheduling the work, coordinating trades, ordering materials and organising deliveries. We’ll make sure each stage is planned around the next, helping to avoid unnecessary delays and ensuring the project progresses efficiently.
03 — Managing The Build
Throughout the project, Apex will oversee the day-to-day progress and coordinate the different elements of the work. We’ll manage communication between trades, monitor progress and deal with any practical issues that arise along the way. You’ll have a single point of contact, rather than having to chase multiple contractors yourself.
04 — Finishing & Completion
As the project approaches completion, we’ll coordinate the final stages and finishing works, checking that everything has been completed as agreed. We’ll work through any outstanding items, organise final trades where required and ensure the site is clean, tidy and ready to hand back to you.
