Every resin driveway is different, and the cost will depend on a number of factors including the size, shape, colour, complexity, access, available working space and existing ground conditions. Because of this, we believe the best way to provide an accurate quotation is to visit your property and carry out a full site survey. This allows us to assess the existing surface, understand any preparation or drainage requirements and determine exactly what will be involved.
During the visit, we’ll also talk you through the different resin and aggregate options available, including colours, styles and finishes, helping you choose an option that suits your property. We’ll discuss the proposed scope of works, expected timeframe and our availability, before providing you with a clear, detailed quotation based on everything we have assessed.
To secure your booking, we require a small deposit, with the remaining balance split into two payments — 50% prior to works commencing and the final 50% upon completion. Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer. We’ll make sure you understand the payment schedule and what is included within your quotation before any work begins.

Resin Bound Driveways
A resin bound driveway is a premium surfacing system made by mixing natural decorative aggregate with a clear, UV-stable resin. Unlike loose gravel, the individual stones are completely coated in resin and bonded together, creating a smooth, seamless surface that is comfortable to walk and drive over. The finished surface has a clean, contemporary appearance and is available in a wide range of aggregate colours and blends, allowing the driveway to be tailored to complement the property. One of the biggest advantages of resin bound surfacing is its permeability.
The small gaps between the coated stones allow rainwater to pass through the surface rather than simply running across it, helping to reduce standing water and surface run-off. For front driveways in England, a correctly designed permeable resin-bound system can also help meet Sustainable Drainage System (SuDS) requirements. The drainage performance does, however, depend on having a suitable permeable base or drainage solution beneath the surface.
How is a resin driveway installed?
The quality of a resin driveway starts with the preparation underneath it. The existing driveway is assessed and, where necessary, excavated before the area is prepared with a suitable, stable and well-compacted sub-base. Any required drainage, falls and edging are installed at this stage. If an existing concrete or tarmac surface is suitable, it may sometimes be retained and prepared for the new resin surface. Getting this foundation right is one of the most important parts of the installation because movement or failure beneath the resin can ultimately affect the finished surface.
Once the base is ready, the selected aggregate and resin are accurately mixed together on site so that every stone is fully coated. The mixture is then carefully spread across the prepared area and hand-trowelled to create an even, smooth and consistent finish. This is a skilled process because the material has a limited working time and needs to be laid continuously to achieve a uniform appearance across the driveway.
The result is a durable, low-maintenance and visually striking driveway that can dramatically improve the kerb appeal of a property. Resin bound surfaces have no loose stones to scatter across the driveway, are available in a huge variety of colours and aggregate blends, and can be maintained with regular sweeping and occasional cleaning. When the correct materials are used and the driveway is installed over a properly prepared base, resin bound surfacing can provide a long-lasting solution for busy residential driveways.
