Quotations & Bookings
Every building project is different, so we start with a detailed consultation and site assessment to understand exactly what you’re looking to achieve. Whether it’s an extension, renovation, conversion, structural work or a complete property transformation, we’ll assess the existing building, discuss your requirements and consider factors such as access, materials, structural requirements, timescales and the overall scope of works.
During the consultation, we’ll talk through the project in detail and explain the proposed works, materials, estimated timeframe and costs. This is also where we’ll discuss the payment structure for your particular project. Once we have all the necessary information, we’ll provide you with a clear and detailed quotation outlining what is included, allowing you to make an informed decision before committing to the work.
To secure your project in our schedule, a deposit will normally be required at the time of booking. Building projects will generally then follow a staged payment structure, with a further 50% payment due before works commence and the remaining balance payable upon completion. However, depending on the size and requirements of the project, Apex South West Construction may require payments to be made sooner or in additional stages to cover materials, specialist labour and other project costs.
Any payment schedule will be agreed with you in advance and clearly explained during your consultation.
We aim to make the entire process as straightforward and transparent as possible, from the initial consultation through to completion. No two projects are the same, so we’ll work with you to establish a payment schedule and scope of works that is appropriate for your individual project. Once everything is agreed, our team can get to work bringing your plans to life, with quality workmanship and attention to detail throughout.
Building & Extensions
A home extension or renovation can completely transform the way you use your property, whether you need more space, a better layout or simply want to modernise your home. From extending the rear of your property to create a larger kitchen and living area, to removing internal walls and opening up rooms, Apex South West Construction can take on projects of all sizes and complexity.
Our building and renovation work can include single and multi-storey extensions, rear and side extensions, kitchen extensions, open-plan renovations, structural alterations, garage conversions and complete internal refurbishments. We can remove existing walls, install structural steelwork where required, alter doorways and layouts, create new openings, and reconfigure rooms to make much better use of the available space. We can also take care of the associated brickwork, blockwork, roofing, insulation, windows, doors, plastering, plumbing, electrics, flooring and internal fit-outs.
The Process
Every project begins with a consultation and detailed site assessment. We’ll visit your property to understand what you want to achieve, look at the existing structure and discuss your ideas for the new layout. Whether you’re considering knocking through walls to create an open-plan kitchen, extending into the garden or completely reconfiguring several rooms, we’ll assess access, structure, drainage, utilities and any other considerations that may affect the work. Where necessary, we can work alongside architects, structural engineers and other professionals to ensure everything is properly planned.
Once the plans and scope of works are agreed, we’ll organise the materials, trades, equipment and logistics required to begin. Extension projects will typically progress from site preparation and foundations through to the structural build, while renovation projects may begin with stripping out existing rooms, removing walls and carrying out structural alterations. From there, we can progress through the build and coordinate the various stages, helping to keep everything moving efficiently.
The final stages are about turning the structural work into a finished home.
This can include plastering, electrics, plumbing, heating, flooring, decorating, kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows and other finishing works. Whether we’re adding a completely new extension or transforming the layout of your existing home, our goal is to deliver a finished space that is practical, modern and feels like a natural part of the property.
